David Varga Music Composer
David has scored music in numerous settings, from theater productions, to film, television, interactive Web, commercials, video games, and concert halls. Son of concert violinists Ruben Varga and Norma Varga, David studied with such prestigious composers as David Del Tredici, Robert Starer, and Tania Leon. Mr. Varga recently provided the music for the independent film, Imposter, and for Happy Ending, which premiered at CineGear Expo at Paramount Studios and The Newport Beach Film Festival, respectively. Two additional films, The Windermere Guest and Old Monster, have just finished the festival circuit. Other projects include the theme song for TLC's series, Wedded To Perfection, theme music for The Discovery Channel's series Disappeared and the theme music for The Weather Channel's series, Storm Riders. David also composed the soundtrack for Sundance Channel's series, Eco Trip: The Real Cost Of Living, and MSNBC's Future Earth: 100 Heart Beats.
Other recent works include music for several commercials, the soundtrack for Strindberg’s The Ghost Sonata at the New York Strindberg Festival, the soundtrack for the PBS documentary Different is the New Normal, and the theme music for NBC's Dateline Saturday, which can also be heard on MSNBC, Discovery ID, and TLC in various crime documentaries.
